Daily activities vary based on age group and day of the week, so I started my adventure on Wednesday and I got a little sample of every group’s activities. On the first day, I started with the junior campers who had swimming lessons, climbing wall, frog catching, and a gondola ride on the schedule. In the morning, we had a bagel and cream cheese snack and then headed to the pool! The instructors worked with the kids on their swimming skills, and then we had some free time to enjoy the Plunge! pool area. For lunch, we had pizza and fruit, followed by a trip to the Village for the afternoon activities. I climbed to the top of the climbing wall with a few fellow campers, and then helped the kids spot frogs by the pond! We ended the day off with an afternoon snack of popcorn, veggies, and dip. It was the perfect start to my three days of fun!
The next day, I made my way over to join the intermediate camp, who had swimming lessons scheduled in the morning followed by golf in the afternoon! To kick off the day, we had waffles and fruit – my favourite morning snack. Once we had finished our swimming lessons, we took a lunch break and enjoyed hot dogs and veggies. After a day spent in the sun on the golf course, we indulged in nut-free trail mix and fruit for our afternoon snack! Although I’m not quite a golfer, I loved spending the afternoon on the course and working on my skills!
On Friday, I headed over to the senior camp to join them for a gondola ride, hike, and scavenger hunt in the morning, and swimming lessons to end off the day! In the morning, we started off with a snack of English muffins and fruit. We then hiked up Cascade hiking trail, and as we enjoyed the scenery we also attempted the Alphabet Scavenger Hunt where we were challenged to find something that begins with every letter! The hike was a fun and active experience, and by the time we were done with our scavenger hunt I was ready to enjoy my lunch of pasta and Caesar salad. We spent the afternoon swimming and finished off a great week with a snack of yogurt and fruit!
I had a great time at camp, and I can now see why they call it Super Camp! Along with these three programs, a Leadership in Training program is offered for teens 12-17 years. This means that kids from ages 4-17 can enjoy Plunge! Super Camp. I highly recommend looking into this camp – clearly it appeals to campers of all ages, and it gives parents the perfect opportunity for some quiet time! Space is limited and spots fill up (for good reason), so be sure to call 705-445-0231 to register your super camper!
Have a great time at camp,
