It Took 85 Years To Feel This Good.

Age is nothing but a number, and youthful joy is the reason for this season. Whether you learned here decades ago or you’ve never clicked into a binding, brand new or old school, there’s a place on this mountain for you.

Your Winter Story Started Here (or It’s About to)

Blue Mountain will celebrate its 85th Opening Day this season. Since 1941, this hill has been where Ontario learns to love winter. From first turns and countless chairlift rides, to well-earned hot chocolates and tall tales told at aprés, we continue to welcome everyone to our favourite season. Some of you have been coming for decades. Some of you are about to have a first day. Either way, you’re part of the story.

If you learned here in the ’80s or ’90s

Maybe you remember rental boots that never quite fit, a bunny hill that felt like a mountain, and a parent waiting in the lodge with a hot chocolate. Maybe you remember the Great Slide Ride, the 3,000 foot mini-bobsled track that gave riders more than a few cement scrapes. Or maybe you were here when we Blue finally allowed snowboarders on the slopes in the late 80’s. A lot has changed over the years, but we promise the feeling hasn’t.

Orchard

You never do anything halfway, and when plans change, you rebuild bigger, just like Ontario’s longest terrain park. Passionate skiers and riders, you’re already eyeing the next feature. If you’re new, or cheering on someone who is, every big run starts with one wobbly first try.

South

You believe good things start small, like every tree planted here by Blue. Passionate skiers and riders, you’re the one who gets friends and kids onto snow. If you’re still learning, or bringing a beginner, you’re growing at exactly the right speed, from bunny hill to the top of Blue.

Village

You’re the heart of the group, quietly laying the groundwork so everyone else gets a great run. Passionate skiers and riders, your best days are measured in memories, not laps. If you’re new, or sharing the hill with someone who is, you’re just starting your collection of stories.

Valley

You’re fast, funny and proud of your past. Passionate skiers and riders, you chase speed and a great race day story. If you’re new, or have a friend who is, you’re braver than you think, and every tumble is part of your origin story.

North

You’re a classic: steady, confident and leading long before it was trendy. Passionate skiers and riders, you carve with timeless style. If you’re always learning, you’re studying the originals, and one day you’ll be one.
