5 weeks of fun!

I think it goes without saying week 4 challenges were by far the most fun! Spending an hour outside each day should be mandatory in our books, but it was so great to see all the hobbies and pastimes that you all take part in. Paddling, cycling, hiking, golfing and gardening – so much gardening! We love it.  We’d like to congratulate James Warburton as this week’s winner. The diversity in your activities showed us that you are truly an outdoor enthusiast and figured a new pair of hikers would do you good.  Email us at socialmedia@bluemountain.ca to claim your prize

This week as we come to a close, we want to you get off the beaten path and explore the woods. We want you to go on three separate hikes.  What classifies as a hike? An unpaved trail. We want to see the dirt under your feet, rocks and roots that you climb over and the treed canopies above you.
This is a great week as the temperatures are going from humid as heck, to a happy high 20 something, which is great for hiking. There is a lot of rain in the forecast, so be sure to check before you head out as this humid weather means strong and intense thunderstorms.  You should never hike in a thunderstorm, but rain – is a fair game and with this week’s prizing – The Dryzzle Jacket – it couldn’t have come at a better time. I have cayenne red, which is more of a fuchsia pink and I couldn’t be more in love with it.

Look good. Feel good. Crutch Good.

When I say it keeps you dry – it really keeps you dry. I have never had a more waterproof jacket than this. The thing I hate the most about rain jackets is that the hood is so awkward and doesn’t stay up, however this jacket has the built-in brim so it keeps its shape and stays up! Pair that with a hat and you never have to adjust it at all.
