How to Plan an Action-Packed Summer Bachelorette at Blue

The time has come; the matching shirts and sunglasses have been purchased and the foil balloons have been blown up, just like the group chat while planning your outdoorsy bestie’s perfect Bachelorette at Blue. The bride-to-be is ready to roll with her gaggle of besties by her side, but what do you have in store? Before you set out for the best bach weekend ever, scroll down for our complete guide on how to plan an action-packed bachelorette party at Blue.

Where To Stay

There’s nothing worse than sharing a bed with Becky who you met at that one party in college once, you think, or maybe that was Christine?? Anyway! Avoid the awkwardness over who stays where by booking one of our spacious accommodations in the Village. For bridal parties, we recommend the Grand Georgian Village Suites because of the close-proximity rooms and the beautiful views of the plaza, plus each room includes a full kitchen for the inevitable late-night pizza roll baking. Or, check out the Mosaic Boutique Suites with one of the best pools in the whole Village, which also has access to the IWA Spa from right inside the building. Once you have your rooms booked, you’ll be ready to take on the day’s adventures well-rested!

Where to Eat

A bad case of hangriness can turn a bachelorette weekend from fun to RUN in just a few hours. To keep everyone well-fed, book reservations ahead of time at some of the tastiest spots around Blue. We recommend trying The Pottery Restaurant for breakfast which has something for everyone, from Avocado Toast to Eggs Benedict and more. For lunch, check out our Cascade Patio at the base of the Mountain which features live music on weekends that is totally a vibe, with yummy tacos and eats from our mighty BBQ smoker. When dinner rolls around, use your Play All Day Pass and head up the open-air gondola to the Summitview Pavilion on the Mountaintop. Grab your phone and snap some stories you’ll never forget at the lookout with stunning views of the Georgian Bay while you wait for your delectable charcuterie boards and wine selection to be served. Hangriness, be gone!

What to Do

Ah, now to the really fun part. Besides sleeping and eating, what else is there to do? Blue is the perfect spot for an adventure-loving Bride, because we have so many outdoor activities to pack your bach schedule with. Start with a Play All Day Pass, which will give you access to attractions like our Woodlot Low Ropes course, Lumber Lanes Climbing Centre, Mill Pond Water Trikes, Open-Air Gondola, and so much more. Then take a look at our Add-On Adventures which are perfect for big groups, like the Timber Challenge High Ropes course, or the Mountaintop Segway Tours.

On Day 2, take it easy in the morning with a restorative yoga session at the IWA Spa right in the Village. Then, pick up an Explore All Day Pass and trek up the Mountain on a group hike. Try out our over 20 hiking, biking and multi use trails spanning the Mountain with a total of 30km ranging from beginner to advanced. We recommend Cascade Trail or Village Way to find beautiful waterfall scenes and perfectly Instagrammable lookout spots. Once you reach the top, just take the Gondola back down and enjoy the rest of your day poolside.
