January 2nd – 8th, 2023

1. Learn To Ski or Snowboard at Blue’s Learning Centres

Blue Mountain was founded in 1941 and has a long-lasting tradition of welcoming newcomers to the sport of skiing. Proud to be the premier destination for everyone who wants to explore winter sports, we have created this handy guide to help you choose how YOU want to learn. Whether you’re learning on your own with our Snow How self-learn system, taking one-on-one lessons to tailor your learning pace, or joining a group lesson to lean on a friend, our Learning Centres are the perfect place to start your on-hill journey. We can’t wait to welcome you this winter season!

2. Red Devil and Hillside Outfitters Have Officially Re-Opened

We’ve been undergoing some major tune-ups to our Activity Central building, and we’re so excited to finally re-open two of our favourite retail spaces in their new homes: Red Devil Sports and Hillside Outfitters! Come visit Activity Central to shop your favourite brands in the new space, from apparel, to gear, to shoes and more. Plus, when you shop between December 23rd and January 8th, you’ll save the tax on your final purchase – and this discount stacks with your 5×7® Pass retail discount! Come by today to check it out.

3. Ikon Pass First Tracks Happening This Saturday, January 7th

Unlock untouched powder and crispy corduroy this Saturday, January 7th with early lift access for Ikon Pass holders! Join us at 8:00am at the Silver Bullet Express with your pass in hand, and chase the sun up as you shred down the Mountain. Ikon Pass First Tracks applies to the 22/23 Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, Ikon Base Plus Pass and Ikon Session Pass, based on pass access. For more info, head to our events page here.

4. Download The BMR App To Start Planning Your Trip

The Mountain is calling, so use the Blue Mountain App to make the most of what it has to offer! There’s so many reasons to use the app on-hill, from tracking your laps, to finding your friends, to reading trail maps, to lift line wait times, and having Patrol on speed dial. But we also love the app off the slopes, especially for parking information, walking directions in the Village, and to easily pre-purchase lift or attraction tickets. Download it for Android here and for iOS here to get access to tons of great features.

5. Young Adult 5×7® Passholders Now Eligible For a Free GTR Bus Pass

Next stop: Blue Mountain! 5×7® Young Adult Passholders (ages 13-22) are now eligible to receive a FREE Bus Pass, valid from December 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, courtesy of the Grey Transit Route, redeemable at Guest Services. We ask that a parent or guardian to be present for anyone ages 13-17 to redeem. The GTR travels from Orangeville, to Owen Sound, to the Blue Mountain Village, with stops along the way. Click here to see how you can get on the bus. This is just another of our awesome Passholder perks, so make sure you check out the full list here to take full advantage of all of them this winter.
