1. Observe Truth & Reconciliation Day at Blue Mountain
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. In commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, Blue Mountain will host members of the community and visiting guests to the top of the mountain. Participants are invited to gather at the Elevate | Mbin’ge art installation at the top of Blue for remarks from the Resort and a smudging ceremony with Youth from the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. This event is free for all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, Blue Mountain Resort employees and their families. All other guests are welcome to purchase tickets for AGORA: Path of Light with proceeds donated to the Chippewas of Nawash Native Child Welfare Program. For more information, click here.
