Ski Movie Night made its annual return to The Historic Gayety Theatre on November 10, 2019.
This year’s event, hosted by organizers Andrea Baker-Nash and Kevin Nash, raised a record-breaking $15,000 for the hospital. This brings the total raised from this event to over $71,000 in six years.
This year’s feature film was Warren Miller’s Face of Winter, the 69th instalment from Warren Miller Entertainment. A fitting tribute to the warm, witty, mildly eccentric godfather of the ski-and-ride film was the man who got us started on this long, crazy ride.
The Collingwood gala was visibly landmarked by spotlights shining into the mid November night sky from the Gayety, marking the way for those lucky enough to secure tickets to this sold-out event.
“We are incredibly proud of our army of volunteers, our loyal patrons, and our very generous sponsors,” said Andrea, celebrating the evening’s success. Kevin echoed, “We especially thank Blue Mountain Resort for their fantastic community support of our annual fundraiser. They have been wonderful, unsung partners to work with. Blue Mountain’s support says a lot about their devotion to the Collingwood Hospital.”
