Play All Day – Littles Edition

Good morning! It may be time for a holiday but we understand little little kids don’t seem to have a snooze button, even on vacation. At least an early start does give you more time to get the most out of your Play All Day adventures!

It is easy to get to all the action from any our Blue Mountain accommodations but with little littles, it can sometimes be easier to be close to “home base” in one of our newly renovated Village Suites located right in the Blue Mountain Village.

Walk right out of the lobby and walk a short ways to grab a coffee from Royal Majesty or Starbucks in the Village and get those kiddos moving at the Village Playground located on the edge of the Mill Pond boardwalk. While the kids slide and climb, make sure to book your time slot for Plunge! Aquatic Centre for later in the day using the virtual line-up. Make your way to Sunset Grill for breakfast where kids are welcome and extra syrup on your pancakes is a must.

Grab those Play All Day wristbands and let the adventures begin!

Start with a little putting at Cascade Putting Course and maybe challenge your crew to 18 holes (or however many our little littles get through 😉).

If your kiddos are 3 or older, speed things up with a ride on the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster then take the short hike up from the exit where you can spot our resident grass cutting team, the happy goats at the base of the Woodlot Low Ropes course.

Keep walking up the hill and around the Base Camp to Chutes and Lumber. With Triple Zip riders zooming overhead, let your littles have roll, drop, chase and catch their own wooden ball down a series of features down the ski hill!

It’s definitely time for a snack and Grand Central Lodge’s 6ix Pack takeout window has got shareables, drinks and a great selection of ice cream flavours from Grandma’s Kitchen to Unicorn Toots!

Recharged and ready to keep the fun rolling, head to the Open-Air Gondola for a ride up to the top of Blue. You can stroll along the top and of course, take some great family photos with Southern Georgian Bay as the backdrop.

Ready for lunch? Summitview Pavilion at the top of Blue is a great outdoor experience where you can easily park your stroller and keep kids busy pointing out all the features they can see including birds soaring over the Mountain and boats floating in Georgian Bay. On the menu are BBQ favourites and a Kids Menu with finger nibblin’ classics.

It might be time for a siesta for the wee ones. From the top of the Mountain, you can go for a snooze on-the-go with a stroller along the trails or take a Gondola ride back down to stroll through the Village. If your little nappers prefer quieter downtime, you can head back to the room and lounge on the balcony while they kiddos nap in your room.

Rested and ready to keep playing, grab your swimmers and your floaties and head to Plunge! For your booked time slot in the pool.

Or if you like your water fun paired with sand between your toes, make the short 10 minute drive to the exclusive Blue Mountain Beach, included with all lodging Play All Day Passes. Shallow water, beach toys and a snack hut make this beach feel like a second getaway all in one trip!

Do a quick change back in the room before dinner at one of the many great eateries in the Village. If you have a little more energy to burn before bed, keep an ear out for live music at one of the stages hosting local musical talent throughout the day.
