Grooming operations have been in full swing, with lots of snow being pushed down into the bottom of Smart Alec from the top of the run. The grooming machine stays on the run, using a winch to manage the steep landing area. Once completed, the jump will be an impressive 50 feet high! Arena Snow Parks is helping us with the build, bringing their expertise to ensure it\u2019s constructed safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the Big Air jump is finished, the snow will be repurposed for the highly anticipated Pond Skim event, which is just around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite some natural snow loss, we\u2019ve managed to maintain great conditions, with our snow depth still averaging over a metre. So even as spring approaches, we\u2019re still in great shape for the skiing and riding ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s worth noting that we\u2019re planning to keep our high-speed lifts open later in the day than usual this season, extending the skiing experience for our guests. This is a rare occurrence, but our snow conditions are so solid, and the demand from our pass holders is so strong, that we\u2019re thrilled to keep the slopes open until 7 PM post-March Break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And of course, don\u2019t forget that we lose an hour of sleep soon with the upcoming time change!
