Through a comprehensive assessment, Blue Mountain was evaluated across 87 sustainability criteria spanning environmental, socio-cultural, and economic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This third-party certification helps validate that Blue Mountain isn\u2019t just talking about sustainability\u2014it\u2019s making measurable, credible changes to reduce its impact on the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Culture of Climate Action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sustainability at Blue Mountain is not a department\u2014it\u2019s a culture. Much of that culture is being driven by our <a href=\"https:\/\/thebarn.bluemountain.ca\/barn\/impact\/meet-the-friendly-face-driving-sustainability-at-blue\/\">Sustainability Analyst, Tori Rooney,<\/a> and supported by the collaboration between our employees and guests. A pilot electric vehicle is already in use, and the resort is exploring renewable diesel options for machinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udd66 Food Waste Revolution: The resort has launched an AI-powered food waste tracking system, which uses cameras and scales to analyze exactly what food gets wasted. Composting systems at food outlets like Grand Central Eatery guide guests step-by-step through proper waste disposal using visual prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Empowering a Green Workforce<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sustainability is embedded in the employee experience.
