\nIt was another fantastic week on the slopes, with comfortable temperatures and nearly daily refreshes of natural snow topping the machine-groomed frozen granular base.
\nRecent mild weather has opened sections of the Georgian Bay ice sheet, setting up a more classic lake-effect pattern. As colder Arctic air flows over the open water, it picks up moisture and drops it over the mountain. That process delivered a bonus 5 cm on Monday alone, pushing the seasonal snowfall total to an impressive 260 cm.
\nThe brief lull in snowfall won\u2019t last long. Our next system arrives late Tuesday.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nOur next round of snow comes courtesy of an Alberta Clipper. Snow develops Tuesday evening just as the lights come on for night skiing, with 5 to 10 cm expected by Wednesday morning. Roughly half of that will fall after lifts close, setting the stage for some excellent midweek first tracks.\n<\/p>\n\n
