\nIf you\u2019ve been skiing or riding the last couple of days, you\u2019ve probably noticed the rapid snow melt and very slushy afternoon conditions on the slopes \u2014 it\u2019s practically water skiing out there. Coverage is still good for this time of year, but the three W\u2019s are taking their toll.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nThese three work together to eat through even the most solid snowpack. Before you pack away your skis though, a pattern change is on the way \u2014 one that could end with a bang just in time for March Break.\n<\/p>\n\n

\nFriday\u2019s storm track is still uncertain, but there\u2019s potential for significant accumulation in the 10 to 15 centimetre range. That fresh snow, combined with the groomers working their magic overnight, would do wonders to freshen up surfaces ahead of the busy holiday week.\n<\/p>\n\n
\n\n
\nTemperatures on Saturday remain near freezing and it should be a fantastic day on the slopes. A second storm arrives Sunday, though it\u2019s still too early to tell whether it stays all snow or mixes with rain. Behind that system, temperatures drop and we\u2019re looking at a chilly first half of next week before things moderate again. Some models even hint at a third storm by midweek \u2014 the more optimistic ones suggest over 40 cm across all three systems combined.\n<\/p>\n\n
