Joining the Blue Crew

Summer has come and gone, and here at Blue – all signs are pointing to Winter! If you haven’t thought about being a part of the team here during the ski season, my main question is, why not?!

This time of year we begin hiring for all sorts of opportunities across the Resort, and we think you should be just as excited as us about this. Maybe you’ve just finished your summer seasonal position and can’t get enough of us, or perhaps you’re looking to learn a new trade!

Whatever the reason and whatever the position, we have tons of opportunity for departmental, resort wide and all around career growth that we want to share with you.

If you can believe it, we are hiring for over 50 positions to date. That’s right FIFTY. With so many cool opportunities we are sure you’ll find something that hits home.

To learn about these opportunities in more depth, visit www.bluemountain.jobs and explore the postings!

So What’s Next?

Now – what do you do once you’ve found that opportunity that you just can’t pass up? Let me tell you!

Tailor Your Resume

Maybe your most recent work experience doesn’t reflect the technical skills you’ve developed to make you an all star Snowmaker, make sure you don’t forget to include it! Add any certifications, training or classes you have taken to make sure you capture how great you would be for the job. If we don’t know you have your CASI, how will we know that you’ve got what it takes to be an Instructor, right?

Prepare!

Made it to the interview stage? Research the role and Blue Mountain. While you may not know everything about the opportunity, showing you’ve done some digging will earn you extra brownie points in our books. Additionally, make sure you are just as prepared physically as you are mentally. We like to think we are pretty cool, calm and casual here at Blue, but the interview is a time where we like to make sure we are showing our best selves. Coming in with confidence and a smart look never goes unnoticed.

Follow Up

If you have any questions at all about positions you see, or you want to touch base on the interview you had a few days back, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Human Resources representative. We are happy to answer any and all questions and want to make sure you feel just as good about joining our team as we are!
