Winter Prep 101

Welcome to the first session of Winter Preparation 101. In today’s session we will have an overview about testing snowmaking lines.

Why do we test now? Doesn’t it seem a little early? You can’t even see if it will make snow in September. Let us clear some things up. We test now because we are committed to delivering a proper snowy winter. While the Snowguns are not currently making snow this is a pressure test to ensure there are no leaks in the lines, and that the top tower has the same power and pressure as the lowest lower. The ground is still soft enough, should there be a leak that it can be easily repaired.

Now that you know what a simple test looks like – it is time to start working on your snow dances, so that when the temperatures allow, we can give the one two punch to winter with a powerful combo of snowmaking and snow dances to appease Mother Nature for a long and snowy winter.
